I learned how to knit and purl today!!!! I no longer add a stitch every time I finish a row!!!! This is one of my little practice pieces and I am just so darn excited!!!
Watch out everyone; you know the scads of cotton dishcloths are coming, don't you? Well, too bad, you're going to wash your dishes with them and like it because I KNOW HOW TO KNIT!!!!!
I hope I don't forget by the time the kids go to bed....

Congratualtions!! I am so excited for you and can't wait to see what comes off your needles :)
You crack me up . . . I hope I don't forget before I go to bed!! . . . priceless!!
I don't know how to knit but have always wanted to learn. I'll take all your cast off anytime. :)
Hooray!
We got 1000 cotton dishcloths from my mother for Christmas--she loves to make those things so much she even gave some to my nine year old. :-)
wow. this morning you learned? teach me! I want dish cloths!
Congrats!!
Don't forget about the endless scarves, plant cozies, and placemats you can make! I also forced my husband to use a REAL COTTON WASHCLOTH in the shower for about a week. Then he fessed up and said they didn't foam enough and went back to the body puffs. Wus. Congrats! ALthough I don't know how to do that much with knitting, it is so much fun to do!
If you know how to knit and purl, you've got knitting down. Everything else stems off of that! Yay for you! :)
i just found your blog, love it, and am learning to knit and purl too. the purling is so unnatural to me!
