The kids are loving Splash Week at the YMCA. I love it because it's free lessons. They love it because they get to swim. We're doing it with TWO extras that I am watching this week. Am I tired? Yes.
But there is something about watching your little ones learn and enjoy ANYTHING that makes it all worth it. The dragging around, the car seat buckles, the whining for snacks, the frequent reminders from the life guard to NOT run on the pool deck are all rather stressful.
But the joy on their faces and the "Mama, Mama, did you see?"s, and watching your big boy jump into the deep end of the pool.....
....well, I'd say it's worth it indeed.

My kiddos start swim next month - I'm really looking forward to it!
Glad to see it is going OK and the kiddies are enjoying their lessons. I got my eldest sweetpeas lessons as middle sweetpea has a thing about trying anything dangerous like jumping into the deep end of a pool without armbands (when she was very young :-o). It is a fab thing for them to learn.
This is great that you're doing this...I have very vivid memories of swiming lessons at the local pool and that time that my parents took to teach me to swim...great memories!

So fun! I long for swimming weather. It's snowed on and off today :S Where have our little ones gone? Seriously doesn't it make you realize how quickly life passes us by? I know when the baby is born she will look even bigger than she does now. So crazy how that happens. Hugs-Summie

Free lessons at the Y? Was this just your Y or all of them? BUMMED I missed it but your kids are priceless. So cute!
