Paint With me Thursday-Circles

Simply Feather

So, as it goes, I am making my own rules up to Paint With Me Thursdays. Heather has a good thing going. Technically, this was supposed to get me artsy with brush or pencil or pen or paper or crayon or whathaveyou. I liked that idea. I STILL like that idea, and I want to be a part of the group, but photos suit me better. I am discovering in my life that much of my stress is self-induced: high expectations of what I can do, should do and have time for. One of my favorite things about myself is my desire to learn and try and do different things, but it is my curse. Instead of pouring passion into one thing, honing it and excelling at it, I have a tendency to dabble. A little of this, a little of that, juggling it all right into mediocrity. And, while I may not be able to give up knitting to be an excellent seamstress or sacrifice gardening to be a better housekeeper or stop desiring to learn to crochet and play the guitar because I already have too many half learned skills, right here I am putting my foot down. I'm going to focus on taking pictures. So excuse that this isn't exactly a photography group and allow me this honing indulgence.

Oh, your photos are fantastic! Really like the sink one. And not to speak for Heather at Simply
Feather but really the whole point is to be inspired to be creative. So you focus on that photography! Looks like you have a good thing going.

As you can imagine, your post gives me cause to pause and think; well... really ponder. I'm glad I get to enjoy your photography while doing so. What creative content and beauty in everyday things.

For someone who isn't a great housekeeper, you have an awfully clean sink! You scrubbed it clean before taking the shot, didn't you? I agree with Blue China Studio. The whole point is just to be creative, in whatever way you are inspired to do so. (But, I guess I have to say that, since I took pictures also this week!)

I love the simplicity of finding inspiration in things that you never would have noticed before!

Listen lady, I am telling you, you really have a wonderful talent. That last photo with the little circle of coffee nestled in the spoon? Just brilliant.

Forget the housework and get out there and make a name for yourself as a photographer!

:-) photography is such fun, enjoy! I have just bought a digi SLR (I blame all your bloggers for that purchase!) and can't wait to play with it. Love the photos and love that sink tap!
